I (dad) am left handed. At what point do I push him to one side? I have now gotten him some left handed clubs. He says he prefers that, how will I know what is his real comfortable side? Is he just wanting to be like dad, or is he possibly able to really swing from both sides with the same comfort level?
Not odd at all.. im 16 and when i was around 2 or 3 i started writing with my right hand.. I then switched to using my left hand, but then stayed right handed for everything else. I throw right, bat right, kick right, golf (vary rarely) right, but i eat and write left.
Its just comfortable that way. I also heard thats common for people with high IQs. Its pretty normal. And kinda cool in my opinion..
You should just let your son do everything how its comfortable. Cause hell develop his golf game better.

Do they have special clubs for the left handed?
or they just play the way right handed person do?
There are left handed golf clubs. A fair amount of golfers who play left handed aren’t actually left handed. Phil Mickelson for one is right handed. Most golfers are right handed and those who start when they’re young are mimicking whoever is teaching them, but as a kid, you want to see what the other person is doing, so you’ll face them which would have you hitting left handed as opposed to having your back to the person who’s showing you how to play.
I dont even need to explain why this is one of the best club nights i've ever had you just have to watch and see.
